However, it's essential to clarify some details regarding our warranty coverage to maintain reasonable product prices. While we fully stand behind the quality of our workmanship and materials, certain limitations apply to our AIKH Guarantee.
Unreasonable or Abusive Use
Activities such as taking a standard backpack on a multi- day kayak camping trip, exposing it to water and potential submersion, can lead to damage beyond normal wear and tear. Such usage falls outside the intended scope of the product and would be considered 'unreasonable or abusive,' thus voiding the warranty.
Improper Cleaning or Storage
Proper care and maintenance are vital for the longevity and performance of our products. Just like quality outerwear or footwear, packs require regular cleaning and appropriate storage methods. Please refrain from washing your pack in a washing machine and follow our recommended product care instructions.
Normal Wear & Tear
While our products are designed to withstand everyday use, they are not impervious to the effects of time and usage. Normal wear and tear, such as minor compression of foam padding or degradation of textile coatings over time, are inevitable and should be expected. Although such wear should not render the product unusable prematurely, it's important to understand that all textile-based products have a finite lifespan.
Service & Repair
Should your AIKH product require servicing or repair due to reasons not covered under our warranty, such as accidental damage or normal wear and tear, we are committed to extending its lifespan by providing repair services. While there may be a nominal fee for non-warranty issues, our goal is to keep your product functional and out of landfills, ensuring its continued use on your adventures.
